To help y’all make a delicious winter salad with my favorite pears of all time –

Harry and David Organic Royal Riviera Pears

I’m partnering with Harry & David to give one of y’all a box of their Organic Royal Riviera Pears!

As soon as my family saw their signature box on the doorstep and read that it contained their pears – well, I had to stand back or risk losing a hand.  I made them promise to leave me at least 4 pears to use for this giveaway, they did, but they weren’t happy about it.

Pears are so versatile, which is one of the reasons that I love them:  Sliced and eaten with a great cheese and drizzled with honey, as part of a grown up grilled cheese sandwich, eaten just as they are, or chopped up and placed in your favorite winter salad.

    1. Me, too! I pretty much love all Harry & David. One of my favorite things about 2013 was my 6 month subscription to their Fruit of the month club. LOVED it.

    1. Pears are a perfect salad addition! They aren’t too sweet, but they have such a great crunch and succulence that just takes a salad to a new level of yum!

  1. When it comes to Harry and david pears I just eat them JUST THE WAY THEY ARE!!!
With pears I buy at the store I love combining them with blue cheese. YUMmmmm its a marriage made in culinary heaven!!!

  2. My favorite way to eat pears is to give one a good scrub and then bite right in. I like juice running down my chin, and I like to make loud slurping noises to show my enjoyment. I’m starting to drool right now!

  3. Best way to eat a good pear is to eat it out of hand and let as little of the juice dribble on you as possible!

  4. I love a pear salad with a good maytag blue cheese crumbled, and a sweet and sour type vinegar and oil dressing! Yum!

  5. My favorite way to enjoy eating a Pear is to nibble on the Pear and sip a glass of White Wine. It is absolute Heaven!!!!!
The acids in the Wine mingles with the sugars from the Pear and makes it into something out of this world Wonderful.

  6. I love these pears anyway, I am going to make this salad today! But they are so great when they are so ripe you have to eat them over the sink, dripping juice!!! Woohoo.

  7. I love pears, and I also love salad. I’ve never paired the two, but will after seeing this salad. it looks amazing!
