Hi all! I’m Sara from Mom Endeavors and I’m thrilled to be participating in the Holiday Bake, Craft, & Sew Along! Thanks for having me, Rachel!
You’re so welcome, Sara!  Thank you for this delicious and kid friendly recipe!
I’m a mom of two little guys and LOVE to make “fun foods”–especially around the holidays! Last Halloween I made spider web snacks using pretzel sticks and knew then that I wanted to attempt something similar around Christmastime with snowflakes! I love these types of treats because they’re “no bake” and are easy to make. Plus, they allow for a lot of creativity and you can have the kiddos help you if you want!
To make “Snowflake Pretzels”, here’s what you’ll need:
pretzel sticks, white chocolate (or white candy bark coating), sprinkles, wax paper
DIRECTIONS:

Lay out a sheet of wax paper on a cookie sheet and determine what kind of look you’d like for your snowflakes. Since snowflakes are so unique themselves, your possibilities are nearly endless!

(You can see I’d already done some creating before I thought to take this picture…)

Melt your white chocolate/candy coating according to package directions (I used the microwave). Coat all your long sticks in melted chocolate, then dip in white sugar crystals, lay on the wax paper, connecting in the center as best you can. Repeat with the small pieces.

Put some white chocolate in baggie with tip cut off or pastry bag and pipe some extra chocolate in the center and as needed to help connect the small pieces. Add any additional sprinkles, decorations, etc. (I used silver dragees). I love the sparkly/icy look that the white sugar crystals give (though I think silver or blue might be fun too)!

Put in the fridge for a few minutes to let harden. Then, carefully peel back wax paper, and enjoy!

True to real snowflakes, none of these will be “perfect”; they will all be unique; and they should certainly be quite fun to catch on your tongue! 🙂

Hope you enjoy! Thanks again to Rachel for hosting all these fabulous holiday treat ideas! Please stop by Mom Endeavors for a visit! Happy “baking”! 🙂

  1. Wow, this looks amazing. It’s a great idea. I can’t wait to get my kids in the kitchen to make these. They will love them. They love giving gifts that they have made of their own. They have such pride in their creations. Thanks for sharing this recipe, its the perfect family christmas activity

  2. I make chocolate-covered pretzels almost every Christmas, with varying shapes and red and green sprinkles, but I love the idea of these. I also like the effect that the sugar gives. Great idea.
