If you’ve been to a doughnut shop lately, attended a fancy schmancy brunch, or been on a cruise, you’ve encountered the breakfast cereal doughnut. Doughnuts made with your favorite childhood cereals.
Thanks to Post Foods and Fruity Pebbles sponsoring today’s post, you can now make incredibly delicious cereal donuts at home in less than an hour!
Fruity Pebbles Doughnuts
These are the easiest and most delicious fancy doughnuts that’ll ever come out of your kitchen; or maybe it’s that they’re the easiest and fanciest doughnuts to ever come out of my kitchen…whatever 🙂 I have never made homemade doughnuts before, but I’m a pro at the homemade doughnut holes and doughnut bites, and I grew up with my dad’s homemade cake doughnuts; so that should count for something, right? These donuts are also baked, not fried.. so bonus points, right?
I know that hot, yeasty, airy, glazed doughnuts are the pinnacle of doughnuts according to the masses, but I will take the rich, dense, baked cake doughnut any day.
This recipe actually comes together in under 30 minutes, but there’s a 30 minute rest time while you make the cereal milk. If you don’t know what cereal milk is, it’s the milk that’s left in the bowl after all the cereal is gone.
There are two teams when it comes to cereal milk: Team Drink the Cereal Milk and Team Dump the Cereal Milk.
Which Team are you on?
Team Drink or Team Dump
I must add one word of caution to these Fruity Pebbles Donuts, though…. if you walk away from them, they may not be there when you return….
It’s hard to get mad at him when the food is that good and he’s that cute 😉
If you’ve never made cake doughnuts at home, you might be intimidated, I’m here to tell you, don’t be intimidated… it’s easy and totally worth it! Plus, think of all the possibilities that come with knowing the magic power of cereal milk doughnuts!
It’s so much fun when I get to work with products that my family loves and I get to play with a recipe that I might not have tried otherwise.
These Fruity Pebbles Donuts are one of my family’s (and extended family’s and cheer family’s) favorite new treats! These will definitely be showing up at sleepovers, parties, holidays, weekends, and brinners from here on out, because y’all.. y’all… they’re seriously that good!
Have you ever made Cereal Doughnuts?
If you haven’t, do you want to? If you have, what’s your favorite flavor combination.

OOOOO I’ve never tried Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Milk. Dangit, now I have to go to the store!
I’m team less milk, but MORE FRUITY PEBBLES. I’m addicted to them, and these look so good, and YUM!
Thank you! I seriously thought that I was going to have to place a barricade around the Fruity Pebbles box. My family was circling them like vultures!
Fruity Pebbles are my favorite cereal to use in recipes. They are so colorful, tasty and crunchy!!!
My kids would go crazy for these! If the cereal is something yummy like Fruity Pebbles I drink the milk!
Okay, I love Fruity Pebbles but I don’t love milk with it. I actually prefer Fruity Pebbles dry, by the handful, or sprinkled on goodies like this!
My son loves them dry, too! My husband will drink the milk, my daughter will only eat the cereal with milk… I, love these donuts! 🙂
These are so much fun! I am definitely team drink the milk… especially with chocolate cereals. Yum!
I love seeing who is Team Drink and who isn’t 🙂
