Today is Cinco de Mayo, which for many people is just an excuse to drink a Frozen Margarita and eat guacamole.  Let me say right now.  That is NOT what Cinco de Mayo is about.

If you’d like to know the REAL reason that Cinco de Mayo is a celebration, and no, it’s NOT because Cinco de Mayo is the Mexican equivalent of the 4th of July, read this.

Now that you’ve had your history lesson for the day, let’s talk Frozen Margaritas.

how to make frozen margaritas at home

5 simple ingredients + 5 minutes = delicious, frosty, refreshing, frozen margaritas in your own home.

My neighbor, Michelle, makes incredible margaritas.  If Michelle is making margaritas, everyone is in. Even the strict beer drinkers will set their beers to the side for one of Michelle’s Margaritas.  Michelle has a margarita machine, but I don’t, so this is the blender version of Michelle’s Incredible Margaritas.

You should make them today, and pair them with the Best Damn Guacamole Ever because your taste buds deserve a party, don’t you think?  I do.

Easy Frozen Margarita Recipe

Easy, homemade, Frozen Margarita | A Southern Fairytale

Playing around with this recipe is hands down one of the most delicious, and easiest things I’ve done recently.  Testing Margaritas… it’s a hard job, y’all 🙂

These margaritas aren’t too sweet, too tangy, too tart, or too anything.  They’re just delicious.  The amaretto adds an incredible depth and smooths out the tequila and limeade.

    1. I’ve never had an Italian Margarita, but I love how the amaretto adds depth and counterbalances the typical tartness! Hope you got one! xo
