This Week in Happiness is a weekly round up of all things making me happy that week. This Week in Happiness covers everything from music, photography, recipes, humor, technology, food, family, blog posts, news, and more.

I know that I haven’t been posting my Happiness reports here, but I have been focusing on happiness in my everyday life and it’s literally life-changing.   I encourage each of you to focus on your blessings and happiness more than the things going wrong, it’s incredible what it will do for you.

Welcome 2019!!!

On to some of my favorite things from the past year and weeks that have been bringing me joy and happiness.

I have very long (mid-back) thick, coarse, wavy, curly, straight hair… and I do a lot of damage to it with 30 minutes of blow drying and then flat ironing it… to combat frizziness and make it smooth and manageable.  I try to only do that once a week, but let’s be honest… it’s more frequent than that.  About a year and a half ago; a friend mentioned the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer

My initial thought upon seeing it was “Nope.  I’ve tried the round brush dryers before and nearly lost half a head of hair in them”  After reading the reviews, though, I realized this one is stationary.. no revolving!  I figured it was worth a try.  I’m now on my second one because I broke the first one while traveling and nearly cried.  This is the most incredible hair dryer I’ve ever owned.  It’s like getting a salon blowout without the cost!  It has cut my drying time in half, I rarely have to use a flat iron, unless I need to work out some creases on day 2 or 3, and my hair is super soft and silky!

I am on year 2 of using the 1 Second Everyday App and it’s one of my favorite things.  You can have it prompt/remind you to record a 1-second video each day or add from your library.  You can then mash up videos by week, month, year, season etc… it’s a truly amazing way to capture and share life.

I’ve been keto for over 16 months and my saving grace and my recipe go-to has been Carolyn Ketchum from All Day I Dream About Food

Her recipes are EASY and delicious and family friendly and her cookbooks are my go-to when I have any questions or need inspiration.

  • Her Easy Keto DinnersCookbook is true to its name.. Easy Dinners that are delicious and keto friendly <3

  • Cool Mom Picks remains one of my favorite sources for all things family… tech, food, family information, podcasts…  I trust Liz and Kristen and their staff implicitly and their choices are always helpful, insightful, cutting edge, and well researched.

It’s been a busy and wonderful year and I’m truly looking forward to 2019… the heartaches, the joys, the hope, the change, the lessons.
