In Sunday’s Weekly winners, I shared a few teasing pics about my trip to Los Angeles. Today, I want to share a few more details about that trip with y’all.
I flew out to Los Angeles with some other Child Hunger Ends Here Ambassadors to tour the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and help stuff backpacks with food to help feed local children in the area and their families.
There were also some ConAgra employees with us and they had these wonderful t-shirts on that featured the ConAgra Child Hunger Ends Here push – pin logo. I loved this shirt!

Once the bins were filled with stuffed backpacks, they were put on pallets and wrapped and each pallet was assigned to a local school. By the end of the day, the number of bins and pallets was inspiring.
It’s simply staggering how many children in LA go hungry.
I’m so inspired by the work the Food Bank does and how many lives it touches.
We also got to stuff back packs with Jewel and have some one on one time with her, and y’all… she is amazing and adorable and so down to earth.
As part of her partnership with ConAgra and Child Hunger Ends Here, she has recorded a song that can only be downloaded by entering a code from a ConAgra product onto the Child Hunger Ends Here website.
Make sure that when you shop, you look for the red pushpin and code on ConAgra products.. it’s just so simple.
