The last time that I went shopping for the ingredients for my Healthier Chicken Parmesan; I looked for the cans of Hunt’s Tomatoes with the Child Hunger Ends Here pushpin and code

 

I entered the code online at the Child Hunger Ends Here website and that equals one meal for the Feeding America network to provide to Food Banks.

In addition to donating meals to the Feeding America Food, when you enter a code you are given a free download for one of 3 songs recorded by Jewel,  Owl City or Jay Sean.

Did I mention that I got to meet Jewel when I flew to LA to work with ConAgra and the L.A. Regional Food Bank to stuff backpacks full of food for local city kids to take home to help feed their families.

  2. We volunteer at the local food bank and donate food. But this is also a great way of getting kids excited when we go grocery shopping. It can be like a “Where’s Waldo” game, but instead a “Where’s the Pushpin” game. My kids would love that!
