Happy Monday, y’all! Hope your weekend was delicious!
Ours was filled with celebrating what would have been my Granny’s 95th birthday by trying to perfect her elusive Banana Pudding Recipe – she was famous for it, and I can tell y’all that my neighbors are enjoying the recipe testing of this one. What Southerner doesn’t love a good old fashioned banana pudding? I also made her Sock It To Me Cake, and shared the recipe and some memories on her birthday, April 18th.
It’s Monday, which means it’s Mouthwatering Mondays and time to talk about a few of my favorite recipes that were linked up last week – this week’s favs are packed with flavor, lots of savory, spicy, and comfort foods! Check them out, link up your recipes, and go visit each other! You can see and re-pin each week’s favorites on the Mouthwatering Monday Friends Pinterest Board.
- Several years ago {more than I care to share} Nathan and I went to a steakhouse that served melt-in-your-mouth-hot-pillowy-soft dinner rolls with honey butter, ever since then – we’ve been firmly on #teamhoneybutter; so you can understand my joy at seeing this gorgeous Homemade Blackberry Honey Butter recipe from Frugal Coupon Living linked up last week! Gorgeous, delicious, and the flavor combo – OH MY! If you love honey butter and fresh fruit… you must check her recipe out!
- The beautifully stacked donuts and scraping light are what initially drew me to Intoxicated on Life’s Grain-Free Banana Nut Butter Donuts in last week’s linky, but her description and recipe are what kept me on her page! These are also refined sugar free, so if you’re watching what you’re eating, but still want a decadent delight – I think these might be just up your alley!
- Snickers Popcorn. I repeat SNICKERS. full stop POPCORN. I do believe that Michelle from Honest and Truly, truly knocked it out of the park with this recipe! I think there are some teachers and staff that are going to be getting some of this as end of year treats this year!!!
- It was hot as hades today, y’all. Seriously, in the 90’s! Which is why my eye was immediately drawn to this scrumptious and refreshing sounding Strawberry Mojito from Flour on My Face. If you love strawberry limemades and sunshine – with an adult twist, I think you should hop over and check out her recipe!
