Monday! Monday! Monday!
I swear that yesterday was Monday, and then I blinked {- -} and it’s Monday again! I guess that’s what happens when school and sports kick into gear. Princess is trying out for a competitive volleyball league, Monkey is playing his first season of football, and we’re learning about their upcoming school year expectations with curriculum nights.
FOOTBALL season is in high gear, y’all! WHOOP! Did you see the Aggies the other night? Can we say Wrecking Crew? We’re definitely a football loving family living on a football loving street with Texans Fans, Aggie Fans, UT Fans, Dallas Fans, Huskies Fans, and more! Football season means football food time {Have I mentioned football season means football food, and that’s some of my favorite food!?!}
From Spicy Grilled Shrimp Quesadillas with smoky chipotle avocado dipping sauce to Guacamole Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos to Easy Crockpot Honey Sriracha Wings to Roasted Chipotle Poblano Cheddar Burgers. I adore football foods!! Which reminds me; y’all went bananas for my Perfect Lemon Drop Martini Recipe – would y’all be interested in a killer frozen margarita recipe and a 3 ingredient sangria recipe, as well? Let me know in the comments!
My little FO1 Texan before his FIRST football game
Isn’t the cutest little tough guy ever???!!!
Okay, on to the featured recipes from last week’s Mouthwatering Mondays!
Fall weather may not have hit Texas yet, but y’all are all over the Fall eats, treats, and flavors!
This isn’t a Fall eat it’s an all the time, all year round eat, but I’m absolutely loving this Easy Homemade Butter Recipe from The Grant Life! I’m also loving her watermark, I think it’s my favorite. If you’ve never made homemade butter, it’s super easy and so very delicious!
It’s Pumpkin Time! <<<< sung in my head to the tune of Shelly Long and The Troop Beverly Hills girls ‘It’s Cookie Time’
I have a confession to make, I’ve never had anything starbucks. I have TWICE bought starbucks for other people, but I don’t drink coffee, so I haven’t had any of their goodies either, but I must admit to a bit of a need for these Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Scones from Cincy Shopper! YUM
The smell of apple pies, apple fritters, apple anything baked in the oven, takes me back to childhood and my Granny’s kitchen; which is why these Country Apple Fritter Muffins from The Baking Chocola Tess immediately drew my interest. They look and sound delicious!
