Happy Monday, y’all! How was your week? Did you eat anything outstanding, make something mouthwatering?
We grilled up a cream cheese and pepper stuffed fajita roll wrapped in bacon. It was incredible.
We also danced in the rain, shared meals with friends, and swam. It was all the wonderful things summer should be.
Princess got up early Saturday morning and made german chocolate cake brownies and lemonade for her lemonade stand. She put everything together all by herself and even made the decision that half of her proceeds would be donated to Texas Children’s Hospital. I love her and her generous giving heart – she is an amazing young lady, and I’m incredibly proud of her. {she earned $22 towards her donation – she wants to do this several more times to reach her goal of $100}
Let’s talk food!
These Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Pops from Flour on My Face just scream summer! I’m ordering a set of the ice pop molds that she recommends and trying her recipe out soon!
I absolutely adore The Hungry Pilgrim’s blog – her photos and recipes are delectable, and her writing is wonderful. This Basil and Goat Cheese Quiche recipe has me excited to use up the basil from my garden and gives me an excuse to pick up some goat cheese. YUM.
One of my favorite indulgent breakfasts is french toast, and I can’t even begin to tell y’all how indescribably delicious and tempting this Churro French Toast from Chica Chocolatina sounds!
My son & I made some Applehead Cookies-tastes just like apple pie, but in a cookie form 🙂
Ummmmm….so somehow your feed disappeared from my reader and I JUST REALIZED IT! Saddest/happiest day ever! Sad I’ve missed a bunch (well, except for the obsessive Instagram following) but happy I realized my mistake!
XOXOXO
I am going to need a few of those grilled fajita rolls, that sounds amazing! Have a wonderful week!
OMG thank you so much for the shout out! I hope you enjoy making the quiche as much as I loved blogging about it. 🙂
So proud of your daughter for her sweet heart and giving nature! What a role model at such a young age.
Thanks for hosting! I’m sharing my ice cream birthday cake which is a great alternative to a traditional birthday cake—no apologies needed for being allergy-friendly. I’m also sharing my update to coconut milk ice cream— vanilla custard ice cream that’s rich and creamy and SCOOPABLE.
Way to go Princess! Good job parenting to you and Nathan!
Princess has such a lovely heart! I hope she’ll reach her target soon.
Thank you so much!
