Happy Monday!
Today’s Mouthwatering Monday is up a bit late due to the no internet while out of town situation – oops!
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who’s served in the military and their families for their sacrifice and the gift of our Freedom. Memorial Day is not about a 3 day weekend to spend partying – it’s about remembering and giving thanks.
Thank you – y’all are in our hearts and prayers.
Let’s just start this off right! With COOKIES!
Melissa from Cajun Sugar Pie had me at cream cheese and chocolate with her yummy Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Y’all know how much I love avocados, so I was intrigued when Stacy from Stacy Makes Cents linked up her Peanut Butter Chocomole, a chocolate and peanut butter pudding made with avocados! I can’t wait to make this – without peanut butter since my kids don’t like it.
Grilled Chicken is a summer staple around here – heck it is a year round staple since we grill year round 🙂 God Bless Texas 🙂 I love the ingredients and flavors that the wonderful girls at Six Sisters Stuff used to make their 5 Star Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
I have very fond memories of the Orange Julius stand in our mall growing up, and of my mom making them for us on hot summer days so Danielle’s Strawberry Julius recipe grabbed my attention right off. This looks and sounds like a wonderful treat for a hot summer day, and we know that Texas is famous for those!!!
In case y’all missed them – here are my Salmon Avocado Patties with Spicy Chipotle Avocado Aioli

Eeek! Thank you so much for featuring my strawberry julius! I totally understand – these were like a staple during the summers growing up 🙂 Such great memories! Thanks for hosting this fantastic party every week, and I hope you’re having a wonderful Memorial weekend!
We are having a bumper berry crop this year so that strawberry julius will fit the bill nicely in our home.
Great links!
Thank you so much for featuring my Chocomole! 🙂
You’re so welcome, Stacy! Thank you for linking it up!
Your Salmon Patties look incredible! And that sauce!! Anything that has Chipotles in Adobe gets my attention! I love sauces and I think that one would be really good on a lot of things. Thanks for sharing and for hosting. I’m linking up with a Cabbage and Tomato Saute.
Mine, too! 🙂
Thank you so much for featuring my cookies, Rachel! 🙂
You are SO welcome, Melissa! Thank you for posting such yumminess!
