I would like to know how it’s Monday, again.

Wasn’t yesterday Monday?

WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!?

I’ve been photographing field trips and fun runs and decorating the house for Halloween

{dear retail stores — let us have October.  BACK OFF THE CHRISTMAS CRAZY}

Seriously, y’all.

Christmas started coming out in August… STOP THE INSANITY.

We can’t even enjoy the progression of holidays, because the stores are shoving the one that’s 4 months away down our throats.

Sorry.  I will step off my soap box now.

(sigh)

Snickerdoodles are the first cookies that I made with my kids, so these Mini Snickerdoodle cheesecakes hold a special place in my heart.

I absolutely adore the combination of  chocolate and salt, and I can’t resist the lighting in this Chocolate Salted Caramel Bars picture by A Thrifty Table.

Embrace all the deliciousnes of Fall with these Homemade Pumpkin Marshmallows.  Yes.  y’all read that right.  Pumpkin Marshmallows.

Go forth and devour.

The kids have asked for a “bye week” this week.

Princess has been busy with safety patrol and the 4th grade musical, and Monkey has been busy practicing his reading, his sight words, flash cards, and little league.

I love seeing y’all’s personalities, what y’all are making for your own friends and families, and seeing what y’all enjoy to cook, eat, and share.

Thank y’all for linking up week after week, sharing the love, inviting your own friends, and readers, and being so inspiring!

  1. Yumm! I love snickerdoodles and those mini cheesecakes look fabulous. In fact all the features look terrific. Thanks for hosting a yum, yum, yummy party.

  2. I am not able to link successfully so I’ll just comment here. My latest post is the dutch baby pancake that my children request on school holidays. It’s a winner, enjoy!

  3. I have to agree with you on the holidays.. Stores are so worried about making their quotas they’re pushing the next holiday at us before we’ve even had a chance to enjoy the present one. Halloween isn’t even here yet but Christmas merchandise has long since made its appearance on the other side if the aisle. Betcha Halloween won’t be over before that merchandise is squeezed out so we can ‘enjoy’ Christmas merchandise for the next three months! Just sayin. Live your recipes this week!

  4. Ugh, Amen my friend on the Christmas crazy. It drives me batty. I don’t do Christmas until after my birthday AND after Thanksgiving – whichever comes later. Not nearly enough people do, and all it does is make me cranky and not want to be in the store.
