Okay y’all. The pictures I took are just not doing this ooey, gooey, crispy, crunchy tonguegasmically amazing dessert justice. This dish is absolutely spectacular.
Seven Layers of Heaven
*adapted from a Ghirardelli recipe
Ingredients:
*1 box of Chocolate Brownie Mix
* 3/4 C. butterscotch chips
* 3/4 C. dark chocolate chips
* 1 1/4 C. coconut flakes ( I like to toast mine first)
* 1 1/4 C. walnut chips
* 1/2 stick unsalted butter, melted
* 3/4 of a (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
The What To Do:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Pour your melted butter into a 9X13 baking dish. Make sure the entire base of the dish is covered. Sprinkle the brownie mix over the butter. Top this with the butterscotch and dark chocolate chips. Next layer the walnuts and the (toasted) coconut. Finally, drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the whole thing.
Pop in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the edges begin to bubble.
Let cool completely before you cut.
If you’re impatient like me… use a spoon, dig in and relish in the sinful delight of this absolutely tonguegasmically spectacular dessert.

You’re killing me woman! I gained six pounds reading this. I’ve GOT to try it!
I gotta stop dropping my cards first thing in the morning!!! The wonderful food related blogs drive me to distraction.
Too bad we can actually *smell* the images. ;D

Chocolate, coconut AND walnuts? Oh yes, I’m definitely making this one! Thank you for sharing!!
Good Lord that looks good!
OH MAH GAH! That looks incredible. And I’d be right there with you with a spoon in my hand. Heck with waiting for it to cool!!!
OMGoodness – those are some brownies!
You have some talent there! Is it the cooking, the photography or both? Because I don’t much like chocolate – and I would still dive headfirst into that gooey goodness.
I ♥ this dessert!
Funny – I was going to say I need to make it again soon, then realized that MY post today is about how I have this bizzare concept of actually being domestic in my head that simply isn't true. Instead I'll just say "YUMMY! I love eating those things!" ;o)
Holy cow. That looks absolutely SINFUL.
Omgosh. You are killing me, there! Nom nom.
That’s just mean. I so don’t NEED to eat that but I am so gonna!
I hate when blogger eats my comment, and then I have to remember what I just wrote – LOL!
That looks AMAZING. I can’t wait to try it!!!
Oh how I adore these cookies!!!
Off to find a bakery to eat lunch (thanks…)
That looks so yumo!
You used such a nice name for them. I've heard them called Neiman Marcus bars, Orgasm Bars & Better than Sex Bars.
I think I gained 10 pounds just looking at it and my mouth won’t stop watering!
Okay. There go all my good intentions for eating healthy.
Now, this one looks and sounds so much better than one with garlic….must remain healthy…must remain healthy!
It’s gorgeous…geez, and mouthwatering. I am a sucker for any bar of dessert. You’ve done it again!
That looks yummy!!! Maybe I’ll have to try that recipe.

I have a similar recipe. SO GOOD!!
Oh man. That looks ah-mazing. Butterscotch and dark chocolate? Yup, sounds like heaven to me 🙂
Oh mah gott, gurl.
I’m salivating. Fer reals.
I have made that before — one of my all time, absolute FAVORITES!!!
Oh my hell.
This looks so good I almost started licking my screen.
I making this tonight. Absofreakinglutely TONIGHT.
BTW…I went and bought EVERYTHING except I THOUGHT I had condensed milk but NO! NO I DO NOT!
GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I made these this weekend, and I’m still trying to figure out where I went wrong, because while they turned out absolutely marvelous on top, the bottom was just a pan of dry brownie mix… I’m thinking maybe I should have upped the butter, or made sure the milk mixed in better. Any thoughts?
I’m still totally eating them, and loving it – but they probably would be better if I had managed to get the brownies to cook…
Leave it to me to mess up something that is supposed to be simple!!! 🙂
Hmmm. Mine was crunchy, but not dryish crunchy. could it have cooked too long?
I think that what I might try next time is making the brownies, cooking about 3/4 through, taking them out and then adding all the goodies and continuing the cooking from there.
Wowzers! Looks delish! VDog forwarded this to me… we are so going to make this! YUM! 😀
