So maybe I don’t have these:

But this Mommy’s Graduation day comes with something even better.
Today, I am graduating from Diaper Bag U and accepting my diploma purse.
I have been contemplating the great question of Toddlerdom No, not potty training, the other one: When to move out of the land of Diaper Bags and on to the world of Purses. Do you hear the Hallelujah Chorus? Well I do.
I was playing around online one day, I know.. imagine, right. When I happened upon the most adorable website. Sweet Pea Baby Designs. Adorable Merchandise immediately caught my eye, reasonable prices kept me there.
Then… I saw it.

The Monkey Backpack. Photobucket
Precious, isn’t it?! SOLD! I filled out their easy form, personalized it, and 3 days later I held it in my happy little mitts!
So now we gleefully sing:
‘Nah Nah Nah Nah… Nah Nah Nah Nah.. Hey Hey Hey… Goodbye’ to the adorable yet cumbersome Diaper Bag from ABCand123kids

Buh Bye

and we say hello to a very happy and independent Monkey with his personalized Monkey Backpack, which is fully washable, lightweight and ADORABLE!!!
Hello

And a BIG hello to Mommy’s two new little friends.
HELLO gorgeous

Aren’t they pretty! So Sleek, so little, so trendy… so, so, so Adult!! Feel free to do the happy dance with me!

  1. I love the monkey backpack! I recently got rid of my classic baby diaperbag and got a purse too – only mine is more of a tote bag because I still have to carry diapers and such, but I am still so happy to not be carrying that big bulky diaperbag around. Congrats!

  2. Happy Happy Joy Joy!

I tried that. Fa carried her backpack for a total of 2 hours and then I wound up carrying 2 frickin’ bags instead of one.

    Good luck.

Now I just keep a change of clothes in the car…Woot.

  3. I have yet to take that leap, especially on longer outings. On the shorter outings I stick a diaper and wipes in my purse, but I still feel nervous that I will always need more.

  4. See, we’re alike, aren’t we? My monkey has the train backpack just like that one with his name. I knew I liked you, toots.

    Congrats on graduating!

  5. With the Middle One, I bought one of those clamshell Baby Bjorn bags for $100 and carried all of two months (it now makes an excellent camera bag)…

But LOVE the new purses!!! And the monkey bag is PERFECT.

  6. Cute backpack and even cuter purses! I was so happy when the days came that I could get rid of those diaper bags – so happy!

Nice to see you today, Rachel. Take care – Kellan

  7. That bag is adorable. My youngest has this cute blue mesh backpack. I love having my purse back and not finding diapers in it at work.

  8. oh for Heaven’s sake, those purses are fabulous. send one my way please. SO happy to read you again after a big ole (perpetual) blogging break. anyhow, you always make me smile! smoochies…

  9. Congratulations on your Graduation!
My sister gave me a cute bag last year for my birthday that is purse-ish and can still hold a diaper and some wipes…I use those for so many things…I generally just keep extra diapers and wipes in the car for emergencies. The joy of NOT LOOKING like your carrying the BIG bag! Blessings, EJT

  10. Monkey looks too cute in that backpack!

It’s always a relieve when you can finally get rid of the diaper bags and into the grown up purses. Congrats!

  11. That bag is so adorable it ALMOST makes me sad that Monkey Boy will be potty trained soon. ALMOST.

  12. That backpack is adorable!
And your purses are so adult–love it!
I need a new purse so bad–I’ve been getting diaper bags for the past ten years in lieu of a purse and like you, IT’S TIME!

  13. That is one cute backpack! Where did you find that?

I remember being excited to carry a purse again. LOL

  14. I adore that monkey backpack.. and those bags are beautiful!!! Great choices!!

Sigh though.. I still have a long way to go until I graduate. 🙂
