In just a couple of days I am going to be getting cheesy with Kraft Singles in Los Angeles at the Kraft Singles sponsored Grilled Cheese Invitational !

Sing it with me now…

“Gettin’ cheesy with it.. nah nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, nah nah!”

heh.

An easy recipe for the All American Classic Grilled Cheese is:

  • 2 slices of bread (Texas Toast is the best y’all)
  • 2 slices Kraft Singles Cheese
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  1. Spread the butter on one side of each piece of bread, place the bread on a medium-high heat skillet, butter side down, top with two slices of Kraft singles cheese and then top with the other slice of bread. Cook on each side for 3 to 4 minutes or until it has reached your desired golden crispy deliciousness on the outside and melted ooey gooey, cheesy nomaliciousness on the inside.

I have already shared my favorite grilled cheese with y’all  and even shown y’all a video of me making it!

The response to that video, and my accent (I don’t hear an accent, but whatever) was so much fun that I made y’all another video on my awesome FLIP video camera of me making The All American Grilled Cheese sandwich!

So, tell me how do you dress up your Grilled Cheese? Do you have a favorite special ingredient? Do your Grilled Cheeses bring all the kids to your table? Do the neighborhood kids and adults clamor at your door praising your cheesy awesomeness?

Share your favorite grilled cheese stories and recipes here and when I get back from the Cheesy fabulousness that is the Grilled Cheese Invitational in LA, I will choose my two favorite and they’ll each receive a coupon for a free pack of Kraft Singles!!!

Bring on the Cheese!

  1. First off, I love following your blog. And second, I love grilled cheese, especially when you order it at a restaurant and it comes on the texas toast and it’s all buttery. Yum 🙂 Mine that I make at home is pretty simple though.

    2 slices Kraft american singles
    1 tomato, sliced
2 slices whole wheat Wonder bread
2-3 tablespoons of butter (I cheat and throw mine in the microwave for a few seconds to get it soft)
    salt and pepper

I grill mine up in a frying pan and then pull the sandwich apart and add my tomato, along with a little salt and pepper. Sooo good!

  2. I have to break mine open after I cook it…and dump a TON of mayo in there. So much mayo that it drops in globs onto my plate. Sooooo yummy that way!

  5. best grilled cheese ever…

-sautee fresh figs (cut in half lengthwise) in butter.
-spread room temperature blue or gorgonzola cheese (not that pre-crumbled junk, though) on italian bread slices. add the sauteed figs.
-grill on each side in a buttered skillet.

    yummmmm!
