Okay, so y’all know that I went to Los Angeles this weekend and went to The March of Dimes walk and The Grilled Cheese Invitational.
The fabulous people at Kraft Singles put me up at The Standard Hotel in Downtown LA. This is definitely above ‘The Standard’ and way different from anywhere I have stayed before.
The hotel is phenomenally fun, cool rooms, amazing rooftop bar/deck/pool and the staff is super courteous. From the darling guy who helped me at the front desk (Holla! Justin!!) to the room service, maid service, bartenders, everyone… I was beyond impressed.
The room itself, well…. very different, yet fun. I loved it and would loove to stay again.
I have tons of pics and stories to tell but for now, I’ll let this video tell it all.
ps. i want to make a slideshow with both still images and flip footage and music.. anyone? what should I use?

ummmmmmmmm…. (I think I’m rendered a bit speechless here for a moment!!) okay, I imagine it cost more money to have the window in there like that, than it would have to just have a WALL! Who wants to see into the bathroom like that? And the shower not having any walls? That seems like it would leave the bathroom a bit of a safety hazard with the floors all wet… I guess it was an interesting experience, and DEFINATELY blog-worthy, but I think I’ll pass!
It kinda looks like they ran out of decorating funds when they got to 510, although I do like the bed.
And the window??WHAT???? Especially with the straight shot of the toilet…oh my…
