Four and a half hours people… that’s how long I rocked that look before anyone noticed.
This past Saturday I was herding my brother and friends out of my house, putting the finishing touches on a little girl’s apron for the birthday party we were rushing to and making sure that my kids were dressed and that we had the diapers, wipes, car keys and oh yes.. husband.
I stuck my feet under the table, slipped on my shoes and walked out the door, I had on a long sundress so I guess it wasn’t that noticeable.Β Until FOUR AND A HALF hours later when I put my feet up at a friend’s house and their 17 year old niece said:Β “Rachel, why are you wearing two different shoes”
Then, I laughed until my sides hurt and told her: “When you’re a mom, you’ll understand”
OMG – this is hilarious Rachel!!!!!!!

Who cares about the shoes when your toenails are so beeyootiful?

Oh, Yea i see….just blame it on your little brother and his 2 lazy annoying friends. It was all our fault haha. It was fun Rach thanks for having us this weekend and sorry you had to wear 2 different shoes. BTW you need to go see Julie and Julia. It was pretty good and reminded me of you.
Um yah.. of course π LOL. I wasn’t blaming you, exactly.. just adding y’all to the formula that caused me to rock the mis-matched flops for the evening π
Glad y’all came.. it was a blast!
I can totally understand this happening, but YOU didn’t notice? They look like they’re different thicknesses in the sole! That’s hilarious! =)
.-= WackyMummy´s last blog ..What The Heck?! =-.
They actually aren’t noticeably different. I know they look but, they aren’t. *sigh*
I wish they had been π
Yesterday I locked the front door, got the kids buckled in, started the car and then noticed I was wearing my husband’s flip flops. I had slipped them on earlier to take out some trash and forgot I was wearing those giant flipper like things until it was almost too late!

I didn’t see past the cute paint on your toes! I had to look again to see what you were talking about. But, I’m a Mom, too, so mis-matched flip flops wouldn’t jump out at me!
She’ll definitely understand…one day. Mwaa haa haa haa! π
