Remember when I told y’all about Blood Water Mission| 40 Days of Water?

If not, go check out the original post, I’ll still be here when you get back.

Seeing as today, March 22, is World Water Day

I thought it appropriate to update y’all on my progress!

If you want to learn more about World Water Day, you can find the information on the United Nations Website

There’s been a lot going on, and while I didn’t get to go to The Wine Sisterhood Gathering as intended because I got the stomach flu… life has still been crazy busy!  What with moving to Katy and all.

I’m definitely consciously drinking more water, and replacing other beverages with water, but I’ve still managed to donate over $100 to The Blood Water Misson.

HOW have I done that you ask?  pshaw.. let me tell you just how easy it is.

Every time I sub water for my normal diet soda, adult beverage, etc… I tally up my amount and enter it into the drink tracker, and it helps me to keep track of how much I’ve donated so that at the end of the 40 Days, I can either choose to donate it all at once or I can set it to pay out a certain amount every month.

I’m going to donate a little every month, and in the end it will be more than my “owed” amount.

During this moving process and the 40 Days, we had lunch with my BIL and SIL at our new house.  My BIL had just returned from a mission to build wells and help provide access to water and medicine overseas.  The stories that he and my SIL told us were absolutely riveting.  I was so moved, and seeing the impact it had on them…

Powerful.

I love this quote from Mother Teresa, I found it on the Blood Water Mission site and I think it is absolutely perfect.

Whether you’ve followed along and participated in the Blood Water Mission | 40 Days Challenge, or this is your first time hearing about it.. I urge you to go watch their videos, read the blog, and donate.  After watching the videos, talking with my family members who’ve experienced it, and being a part of this… I thank God every time I turn on my tap to clean flowing water.  Not everyone is so Blessed.
